If you take the code from the github in the directory OpenSprinklerArduino_2_1_6 and branch modafterupload: it MUST compile !
Check you are using only the right directory!
Hardware : you are not going very far without a I/O expander!
GPIO available are very few:how do you want to connect your 5 relay + push buttons?
What about LCD?
