I see, you have OpenSprinkler 2.2, which is why the maximum number of programs is limited to 8. Because OS 2.2 has only half the amount of EEPROM as 2.3 has, the number of programs is also roughly halved. If you had OS 2.3 the limit would have been 17 (and if you have OS 3.0, the limit would have been 35).
