I have a test OS 2.0 loaded with firmware 2.1.7, I cannot reproduce the issue you reported. I checked the code that handles RTC in version 2.1.7 vs. 2.0.4, they are exactly the same. I really, really don’t know how to explain what you are seeing. I asked you a question to check the part number of the RTC on your circuit board, you have not replied. You can beat me all you want, but if I knew anything, do you think I would hide it from you?
