I seem to be experiencing a similar problem:
mine hung a couple of times with the same symptoms: no network, unresponsive to button press, display on.
The second time it could have coincided with my ethernet switch loosing power for an hour or so.
I also have “auto reconnect” enabled.
If the problem is some kind of tight loop, is it possible to workaround it with a watchdog?
