Hello everyone and thanks for the great job, I have a problem do not understand why the unit does not accept the closing delay x the master, that is, if I put 5 second delay x closing master these are not respected.
other question because if I make a watering cycle at each change the master valve shuts off and then on again?

thank youExcuse my ignorance but reading and checking I had not noticed the valve delay set default time to 2 sec so I solved the problem on off.
But I can not slowing down the master … even setting 5/2 stops simultaneously with the valve …Also if active 2 master + a valve simultaneously tells me that often skips the system it is idle and is stopped.
I have a 1600 mA current and valves absorb approximately 700mA could this be the problem …

I assume you have upgraded to firmware 2.1.7, and you are referring to the ‘master off adjustment’, is that right? In firmware 2.1.7, the master off adjustment is required to be either 0 or negative, it cannot be a positive number. Due to the way the scheduler is implemented, it cannot turn off master station ‘after’ a valve closes, it can only turn off master with the closing of a valve or before closing a valve. In the future we plan to rewrite the scheduler and this limitation will be removed. For now, there are two work-arounds you can use to address this limitation:
1) you can insert a delay for the master station at the end of a program, by adding a ‘dummy’ station that has an index larger than any of your existing stations. For example, if you currently have 24 stations, you can go to Edit Options to enable 8 more stations (you don’t need to have these physical stations). Then in a program, you can schedule station 25 to run for xxx seconds or minutes. This way, because stations 25 runs the last, and assuming it’s set to activate the master station, it will allow master station to remain on for xxx seconds or minutes.
2) another option is to schedule master station manually in a program. To do so, go to Edit Options, and remove master stations (set them to none). Then in station attribute, turn off the ‘sequential’ flag of the master stations. This allows the master stations to run in parallel with other stations, and you can schedule them together with other stations in a program. This is a way to manually schedule master stations.
I just installed 2.1.8 (2) firmware on my Pi 3B+, and the MASTER OFF ADJUSTMENT still doesn’t accept positive numbers. Are the two workarounds previously mentioned still the only ways to have my well pump continue running X seconds after last valve closes?
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, option 1 doesn’t work for me because I use 7 watering zones and the master for my well pump. I tried setting up option 2, and it technically works…. but man, that was painful.
If anyone is actually using option 2, I’d like some feedback on your experience.
I am using the Zimmerman weather based adjustments. When the zone times get “adjusted” due to weather, I am concerned how zone 8 (for my well pump) will be affected. I don’t want my well pump to run for extended periods without a zone valve being open since that heats up the pump head. I also need the well pump to run at least 2-3 minutes to ensure my last valve closes. Seems like (to be safe), I shouldn’t enable weather based runtime adjustments?
