Hi!
I am trying to update 2.1.6 to 2.1.7 on a hw2.3 controller but the Updater does not find the controller. I tried Windows and Linux versions. The device can be seen as /dev/ttyUSB0 when plugged into a Linux machine. May be the Updater needs to be pointed to a right USB device?
I’m having the same problem on OS X. I’m running El Capitan on my Macbook, trying to updated my v2.3 OpenSprinkler hardware from 2.1.6(1) to 2.1.7. I’ve downloaded the updated drivers and installed, but with no joy.
On the firmware updater instructions page, scrolls to the middle of the page and you should be able to find link to an alternative updater (which was an older version but it still works). Could you give it a try and see if it works?
Hmm… When I run it as root, it throws me messages thatt it can not find libnw, libnode that are under a ./lib directory. When I run ldd on the binary, it says that it is linked:
Did you try the alternative updater as I mentioned above? (scroll to the middle of the firmware update instructions page and you can find link to the alternative updater).
I am not sure to be honest and we will evaluate the current version and get the updater to use the latest which hopefully fixes the above issues. Thanks for letting us know.
