    Using firmware 1.8.3 on a 1.42u kit. Set to DHCP. It connects to the internet great, sets the time, I can browse the interface. All is well.

    Only question I have is that I don’t see any symbol in the lower-right. It’s just blank over there. Was expecting to see that network connected symbol. If I disconnect the CAT5 cable and reboot, I get a question mark which makes sense.

    I checked that it was sensing the gateway’s IP address correctly by pressing button 2 and indeed it was.

    Any ideas?

    Crap. Just noticed that the 1.8.3 update removes that icon: http://rayshobby.net/?page_id=3775#lcd

    That’s right — the nice icon has been removed in 1.8.3 to save program memory space 🙂
