Ribbon cable problem with recent orders of OpenSprinkler Pi

Hi All,

I’ve just identified a problem with the 8-pin ribbon cable that went into some of the recent orders of OpenSprinkler Pi. We’ve proactively taken actions to send a replacement cable to everyone who may have been affected. The symptom is that the cable may have one or more wires that are internally disconnected. This causes OSPi to not respond to RPi, or potentially causing other bizarre symptoms. I’ve written a blog post about it:

If you are seeing the above symptoms with your OSPi, please wait for a few days for the replacement cable to arrive. You can also email us at [email protected] to confirm if a replacement cable is on the way. If your OSPi functions normally, you can safely ignore this post. Thanks!
