Following the advice by Andrew R., I’ve set up a MediaWiki for Rayshobby and I encourage people to take advantage of it for user-contributed content.
http://rayshobby.net/mediawiki/The Wiki is set to be editable by anyone. This is particularly useful for OpenSprinkler Pi because it currently largely depends on user development and community support. In particular, if you are developing software or porting code for OpenSprinkler Pi, I recommend you to add an entry on the Wiki page to make it easy for tracking. Thanks!

I have a post about using a flash drive for storing log file on the Pi but when I tried repeatedly to create an account so I could post it, I got the following error.A database query syntax error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software. The last attempted database query was:
(SQL query hidden)
from within function “User::addToDatabase”. Database returned error “1142: INSERT command denied to user ‘dbo465905316’@’74.208.180.188’ for table ‘user’ (db465905316.db.1and1.com)”
I hope it gets fixed soon.

I will check that later tonight. But in the meantime, try to edit without creating an account — I think the wiki is set up to be editable without logging in.
OK, apparently the mysql database is full, probably due to spam (should have required logging in before editing). Anyways, I have to delete the database and recreate it later tonight.
The Wiki page is now fixed (it was due to a large amount of spam that consumed the sql database quota). Now it’s set to be editable with an account. Also, file upload has been disabled, but you can upload files to somewhere else (like Google docs or Dropbox) and share the link on the Wiki.

I’ve been doing some extra cleaning of the OpenSprinkler Pi wiki page and would like comments on the clarity of my instructions. Other than Dan’s nice instructions on moving the interval program data logging location, most of it was adapted from my own notes and therefore may not be as clear as they could be for others.
I have taken care to maintain conventions like putting commands or file contents in to
blocks and to use generic commands like editor rather than nano or vi. But I don't know whether I have ended up being too verbose (hopefully it isn't the other way) or unclear.
I'd also like to know if there is anything more that others would like added. I haven't put anything in there yet about setting up the interval program but I would like to create proper init scripts, etc for that first and then create a deb package/repository.

Thanks for your excellent work. As the page grows longer, do you think it might be useful to split the content into subpages?
I was thinking exactly the same thing. I’ll have a look at where splitting it would make the most sense over the weekend. I think it is also worth creating a page for the interval program as it gets more stable and putting the data logging section in there now would almost certainly make sense.

I have created a user page with instructions for installing the interval program. If you think it needs to be moved or otherwise changed that’s fine with me.
I have a set of screen shots to go along with the instructions but I have been trying to get them into the wiki page linked from my Skydrive with no luck. Any suggestions would be welcome. The detailed instructions are rather verbose but they are aimed at new users who may not be familiar with the Raspberry or Linux.
I also plan to add a trouble shooting section based on information from the forum.
