Great app all the way around. We are using our OS to water a hydroponics chamber and spray our seeds for 5 seconds every hour. The beauty of the OS is being able to get this level of precision watering. Unfortunately, the app only allows programming down to the minute, which is far too long. Is it a fairly easy change to allow programming (including run-once) to be done in seconds? Thanks!

The underlying firmware does support seconds that is correct. The mobile app can be made compatible with such an interface however I don’t think jQuery mobile supports range sliders for time duration so I would need two number inputs or no slider. Let me research this a bit more but it’s a good point thanks!

Hi Samer, you may want to consider splitting the slider into two: one for minutes, one for seconds. That may be easier and more user friendly 🙂

Ray, I think I may have to do that however in the future when using per station timing having two sliders will be painful.

Id rather find a single input solution allowing for seconds manipulation while showing the format as MM:SS.

Thank you for considering this change! In the mean time I’m still using the web interface which works great, just not as quite as “cool” as the APP on the screen of my iphone…

This is just my opinion, but I really don’t like having sliders for program duration at all. Here’s why.

I’ve got a pretty typical residential irrigation system with a mixture of spray heads and rotor heads. For the spray heads, I’ve have multiple (short) run times to help prevent runoff. My run times in my programs are any where from 4 minutes to 20 minutes, and I occasionally make +1/-1 minute adjustments to fine tune those zones. There is simply not enough precision in the slider (which goes to 300) to make a +1 or even +2 adjustment. What inevitably happens is I try to bump the slider ever so slightly, and then it jumps by +6 or +13 (or whatever) minutes, then I give up on the slider and enter it manually in the text box.

I’d much rather see the little rolling wheel thingys (not sure what they are called) like are used for the start/end times. This would also support data entry in a MM:SS format…

Thank you for the input! I agree the range sliders are difficult to use. They used to work well on a range of 60 minutes but many requests were made to increase it. I will consider an entirely different input as I discover how to best solve this issue once and for all.

    Thanks again!

This will be solved very soon. I am almost done coding the changes needed. It will be a modal requesting day, hour, minute, second using an up/down button. It does the calculations and conversions to/from seconds for you. Hopefully available within the week.
