pb44287ParticipantHi,
I am running OpenSprinkler (Sprinklers App) 1.1.6. When I list programs it shows only 8 of the 17 programs I have. I have Rays Opensprinkler 2.0.0 .Thank you!

SamerKeymasterIf you don’t mind can you please give me the output of controller settings? In the app, on the left side panel is an export configuration option. To the right of that text, is another small button with an arrow. This button emails out the configuration of your device. I am interested in the programs to see if the set contains more than 8 programs (as this is what the program uses to render the editor page). Also, if you don’t mind just to compare the program’s interpretation to the OpenSprinkler output can you please give me the results from this page: http://your_opensprinkler_ip/jp.
Once we have this information we should be able to identify the problem.
Thanks!

pb44287ParticipantHere is the export:
{“programs”:[“[1,85,0,300,600,360,1200,255,0,0,0,0]”,”[1,85,0,1,25,240,900,0,3,0,0,0]”,”[1,85,0,22,60,240,1800,0,12,0,0,0]”,”[1,127,0,581,1320,300,600,0,16,0,0,0]”,”[1,42,0,360,420,240,900,0,128,0,0,0]”,”[1,85,0,45,420,720,1800,0,0,0,192,15]”,”[1,42,0,480,510,240,900,0,32,0,0,0]”,”[1,42,0,195,270,240,900,0,0,64,0,0]”],”options”:{“loc”:”Sandy,UT”,”1″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”24″,”var”:”otz”},”12″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”145″,”var”:”ohtp”},”13″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”31″,”var”:”ohtp2″},”18″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”0″,”var”:”omas”},”15″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”4″,”var”:”onbrd”},”17″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”6″,”var”:”osdt”},”19″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”0″,”var”:”omton”},”20″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”0″,”var”:”omtoff”},”23″:{“en”:”0″,”val”:”100″,”var”:”owl”},”16″:{“en”:”1″,”val”:”1″,”var”:”oseq”},”21″:{“en”:”1″,”val”:”0″,”var”:”ours”},”22″:{“en”:”1″,”val”:”1″,”var”:”orst”},”25″:{“en”:”1″,”val”:”0″,”var”:”oipas”}},”stations”:[“Tree Lawn”,”Driveway”,”Powleys Wall”,”2 sprk west T Ln”,”Under birch Tr”,”F L 3 sp fitzers”,”F L 4 sp Weavers”,”Patio back H”,”Back of rose Bs”,”Between H & G”,”Deck – primative”,”Lower wall”,”Bubblers Orchard”,”SW Lawn wall”,”Bushes in Front”,”W of H by Gate”,”Steps & Tramp”,”1 spr badkyard”,”5 spr flower gdn”,”Betwn Pat&Flowr”,”2 spr SW lawn”,”Wall above Tramp”,”Trees W of Tramp”,”Bamboo & house”,”Cherry trs W Orc”,”S side Lower Yrd”,”S of Little Pond”,”N side Lower Yrd”,”Under Burch Trs”,”Under Oak Trees”,”North of Walkway”,”N of Pnd & F GB”,”East Fence”,”Orchard & Walk”,”Walk & Stream”,”Shed “,”Garden”,”Mid Orchard”,”Pond”,”Small pond”],”masop”:[“255″,”255″,”255″,”255″,”255″,”0”]}
I believe it shows 8.
Here is what vp says:
Total number of programs: 17 (maximum is 62)
Thank you!

SamerKeymasterCan you post the output of /jp please, to compare?
The app is only getting 8 programs from OS so I want to check if it is a firmware error.
August 7, 2014 at 12:52 am #27776
pb44287ParticipantI don’t have a /jp or I don’t know how to get it. Sorry I am kind of new. The firmware is 2.0.0
August 7, 2014 at 12:58 am #27777
SamerKeymasterOh, I see now. Sorry I assumed hardware revision 2.0. Firmware prior to 2.0.4 used a regex to grab information. I will have to flash back to an older firmware and test out support. However, instead, could you just update to 2.0.7 (the latest firmware)?
Update: A closer look at your export suggests you are not running Sprinklers 1.1.6. In fact, I believe you might be running 1.0.6 or older. Also, are you sure you are not using the web app? That export method is old and has been changed a while back.

pb44287ParticipantI think I can do that. Will I lose my programming?
August 7, 2014 at 1:15 am #27779
SamerKeymasterYes and furthermore based on your export you posted you will likely not be able to use the mobile app to import your data. I can fix the old JSON for you however I don’t have all of the information to reconstruct all your programs. If you want goto /vp and push view source. Give me the source code (specifically the info.) and I will help you rebuild it. Also get the source for the homepage if you don’t mind. We can do this over private message if you prefer, let me know.
In the future, the mobile app will export and import your backup which includes everything on the device. But please ensure you are using the latest version of the Sprinklers application.

pb44287ParticipantOriginally when your app came out I was going through Rays site. Then I got a Raspberry Pi to be the Web server. My Samsung Note 3 says I am running 1.1.6 though I did use the my web server to do the export, but maybe I have some combination going on? It has been an interesting learning experience to gather the information that you asked for. Is the script supposed to go to raysobby.net? I have on its way a OSPI and think that I will rebuild on it. I do want to use your app and I believe that means using the interval program. I will have to figure that out.

SamerKeymasterOkay so this is starting to make more sense. The web app (the PHP files hosted on the Raspberry Pi) is no longer developed. Most likely anything you do interacting with the browser will not work correctly, especially if you update the firmware.
The Samsung Note 3 is in fact showing the correct app version so that makes sense. If you use the app on the Samsung device to “export configuration” and then update your firmware you can import to restore everything except program 9-17. I still haven’t gotten this data from you so I can’t help reconstruct it however knowing what will go away might help you know what to write down to return after the upgrade.

pb44287ParticipantFYI My ospi arrived and am working on getting it going. With my Samsung Note 3 with OS ,when I exported it said the file was save to my device but I could not find a file. With the OSPI it gives brings up the email to send the configuration.
August 8, 2014 at 2:40 pm #27783
SamerKeymasterIt doesn’t export to a file instead it saves it in localstorage. This is because not all devices allow file manipulation.

It’s unbelievable.

SamerKeymasterSorry, what’s unbelievable?
