I think I might be able to contribute with a more comprehensive algorithm (do I get it named after myself? I’d be FAMOUS!). There’s merit, I believe, in looking forward as well as backwards. No point in watering right before (or during) rainfall just because it was hot and dry yesterday.
Curious: Is it done au-cloud because of computational limitations on-board? Can the MCU not handle, for example, Zimmerman’s calculations? Or is it for convenience and/or other reasons? Doesn’t really matter, I was just wondering if it would be easy enough for users to choose cloud vs. home-grown.
