DaveParticipantHi there.
I’ve just finished installing a brand new OS 3.0 AC unit.. Great device. Very pleased with it.
However, when I go to view logs, all I see is a spinning wheel, regardless of the dates I set.
I have tried to disable logging and re-enable logging (submitting and getting a ‘settings saved’ message), but that didn’t even seem to disable the ‘Enable Logging’ option in System Options.
Appreciate any advice.
Cheers.

RayKeymasterAre you using the opensprinkler mobile app, or directly accessing the controller using a web browser?
My suggestion is to first try using HTTP GET to see if anything in the log data is wrong, causing it not to be displayed in the UI. To do so, open a browser and copy/paste the following command:
http://x.x.x.x/jl?pw=a6d82bced638de3def1e9bbb4983225c&hist=5
where x.x.x.x is your OpenSprinkler’s IP address, pw= is followed by the MD5 checksum of your password (the one given is for the default password opendoor, if you have changed the password, you can use an online MD5 calculator to calculate the MD5 of your own password), the last part (hist=5) means retrieving log data of the past 5 days. See if the controller returns anything. It’s possible that the issue may be related to CORs, but do the above first so that we know the log data is valid.

DaveParticipantGood morning Ray.
Was trying on the web browser interface, but I get the same result on the iPhone app.
The HTTP GET command succeeded..

DaveParticipantJust pinging on this topic again to see if there is any timeframe for a resolution.
Thanks.July 8, 2018 at 2:02 am #51024
RayKeymasterYour post indicated that you have firmware 2.1.8, which to my knowledge does not have any logging failure issue reported elsewhere. The HTTP GET command you tried returns the correct log data so I don’t know why it wouldn’t work. One thing you can try is to turn on your browser’s Developer Tools (in Chrome, you can turn on menu Tools -> Developer Tools) and then go to the View Log page. The console in the developer tools tells you what may have gone wrong when retrieving log.
For future reference: I suggest that you submit support questions as support tickets, instead of just posting it on the forum. We don’t check forum regularly so your questions are likely to get delayed here. The reason we ask you to submit support tickets is that we need to look up your order to check which version of controller you have, and in many cases ask you to export and attach your controller’s configurations, which are not suitable for posting on the forum. Thanks.
