    Hi All,

I have searched quite a bit and not found a clear answer.

I have received my opensprinkler 3.0 and i have powered it on and set it up. I have given it a static DHCP lease on the local network.

I have configured a port forward on my router to the unit.
I have however not used the port 8080 but i have used a high port in the 6XXXX range. Will this work?
Internet –> WAN: Port TCP\6XXXX –> LAN OS Port TCP\80

I have a dyn address as well so i can use a FQDN:6XXXX URL to get to my OS.

So how do i configure the mobile app to use the dyn FQDN with the custom WAN port i have chosen? I cant seem to find anywhere to set this up in the android app.

    Any assistance would be great.

    Cheers.

You can put it in the “Change IP” field in the Android app – FQDN:port

Awesome thanks for that. I had noticed it when i was outside my wifi that there was a place i could enter in the FQDN:port.

While on my wifi it was connecting straight to the unit. So a note for first time users, its easy to just jump off your wifi, try and connect and the setting part will come up right away.

    Appreciate the reply.

    Cheers.
