As I’m currently looking into all apps on my Mac which still have 32bit dependencies, I saw that my OpenSprinkler Updater 1.0.4 relies on /Contents/Resources/app.nw/avr/osx/avrdude which is still 32bit.

Is there an update which fixes this? Couldn’t find any while searching.

We’ve already updated the instructions for firmware update to use command line directly, without any need for an updater program any more. More specifically, for OS 3.x, the firmware update is OTA anyways, so no need to use any software. For OS 2.3, we’ve updated the instructions to use avrdude program directly. This will save us a lot of time of having to update the updater program since OSX update tends to break legacy programs. You can delete the updater program as it’s not needed any more.

Thanks, Ray. Tough I can use the shell I like more to use GUI programs. The only component in the otherwise good working OpenSprinkler Updater 1.0.4 on macOS which is 32bit is the included avrdude. Replacing it with a 64bit version should be pretty easy. Not supporting 32bit programs is the biggest change on macOS since years, so this would be probably working for quite some time.
