I have had a couple of occurrences of the OSPi latching up and running the sprinklers all day wasting a tonne of water.
I have a 1A power supply but I suspect that there is a power glitch causing everything to latch up. (You can’t even ping the Pi when it happens.)
I think that addition of a hardware watchdog would be a good feature to add to help recover from transient issues and make sure the device always fails safe.
