    Hi Folks.

Last month I had a larger water bill than I expected so I figured I would check my irrigation system in case it was the cause.

While checking in my logs, I noticed that a mysterious unnamed Station “9” has been running for very long periods on my OpenSprinkler, sometimes 13 hours, or even 1 day and a half!

The thing is, I only have 8 stations, and do not have any expansion boards. So I don’t see where the system would take a station “9” from nor what the real world effect of that entry in my logs would be.

Any idea what the issue could be? It still works fine but those log entries are fishy.

    Hardware: 2.3-AC
    Firmware: 2.4.75

    Cheers.
    Steph.

“9” is the station name, not the station index. You could have station 1 named “9” and that doesn’t contradict with the fact you only have 8 zones. Also, you don’t need an expander to enable more than 8 zones. In any case, the only way to tell is to check your configurations. Please submit a support ticket attaching your configurations so we can help you check.

Thanks. None of my stations are named “9” as can be seen in this screenshot. This is why I find that fishy. Apparently I’m not allowed to upload my configuration…

That’s why I said please submit a support ticket at:

with your configurations. Generally people don’t want to submit their configurations, which may contain sensitive information, such as their location, to a public forum.

I think I figured it out but am still testing. It looks like it may be a “name” associated with my rain sensor. It’s been acting a but flaky so this could be how the system was dealing with it.

    Will continue doing some tests.
