    Hi,
I have OpenSprinkler HW version 3.2 (AC) running firmware version 2.2.0 (3)
My question is can I upgrade to firmware version 3.x or am I limited to v2.x?
The upgrade guides confuse me on this as they talk about OS versions and firmware versions.

This is the statement from the 2.x firmware update guide:

NOTE: from firmware 2.1.9, only OS 2.3 (and above) will be supported. Newer firmwares can no longer run on OS 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2 due to code size. Therefore the following instructions are for OS 2.3 only. Instructions for legacy OS (any version prior to 2.3) are at the bottom of this page.

To me this is confusing as I don’t know what is the latest firmware version for my hardware. It could be a good idea to publish a table with the HW versions and the compatible OS and firmware versions so that slow thinkers like me can understand what firmware version we can upgrade to. A couple of days of googling did not provide me with any definitive answers.

You have OpenSprinkler 3.2 (NOT 2.3), which means it’s 3.x family, so you should be looking at the instructions here:

If you are confused about hardware vs. firmware version, take a look here:
