You are correct that for the moment the work-around is to just set those zones as parallel (non-sequential) and manually schedule them in programs where they need to turn on together with other zones. There isn’t any hard technical barrier to modify the firmware to support more master zones, it’s just that it’s a rare case to have more than 2 master zones so it’s hard to justify introducing an extension that most users don’t need.
