adding Garage door status on mobile app

As is common for the sprinker system control I mounted my OSPi in my garage. I would like to mount couple of reed switches on my garage door and wire them to an available GPIO pin on the Raspi. I was wondering how much trouble it would be to add a Garage door page to the Mobile App. All this app has to do is read the GPIO pin when refreshed.

It would be an amazing help to those like me who always wonders if i closed my garage door or not.

As we discussed via email, this is something we can do and once I have additional information regarding the garage door plugin for OSPi I will add in an option for it.
