AndrewParticipantThe manual “Change Rain Delay” should use a similar dialog to programs/station timing that allows manual delays for BOTH hours and DAYS. Forecasting has become good enough that I can tell if it’s going to rain for the next 2, 3 or even more days. I know converting it to hours is always an option but having a “days” option would be much easier.
I assume that if the start time of the next run is before the rain delay runs out the entire program will not run?
See attached picture for possible dialog.

SamerKeymasterThat can be done however the reason I went for single input is to allow more help text to be shown. Also, the maximum number of days isn’t very high (4 days I believe) another reason for choosing the single input.
I’ll move it to the suggested dialog and try it out. If it works, I’ll change it over.
Thanks!

During the rain delay period, only stations which are set to ‘ignore rain’ will run. Other stations will not run.

Right but assuming all of your stations are not set to “ignore rain” and you you decide to put in a rain delay period of 24 hours AND you did this midway into your program which is scheduled to start 22 hours from when you put in this rain delay but stations in THAT program are scheduled to in 25 hours…will the program pick up where it would have been running as soon as the rain delay period ends?

RayKeymasterDuring the rain delay period, a station that observes rain delay will not be scheduled hence will not run (even if its duration spans beyond the rain delay period).

AndrewParticipantSo it’s the station that reads the rain delay not the program? A station within a program that is supposed to run when the rain delay expires (goes to 0) will then run?
Looking at other irrigation systems the rain delay is typically to delay the program not the station. Weather and boundaries are typically considered on a calendar day period.
Example below:
Program “All” begins to run (3pm) which includes 12 stations. It’s currently cycling through station #4 at 4pm.
I tell the system to rain delay 1 day (absolute 4pm).
The next day it’s scheduled to run the same program at the same time.
Come 3pm when program “All” is set to run, it detects a rain delay and doesn’t run – none of the stations.
The following day, program “All” runs.If you want to supply functionality both ways, a check box that says “[]Delay Program” would work.

SamerKeymasterThe days and hours duration input for rain delay has been added. If you are interested, I have posted a link to the beta UI for testing. The rain delay popup change is available there, if you have any feedback.
The forum post is available here: https://opensprinkler.com/forums/topic/mobile-app-ui-beta-access/
Thanks!
