Is power supply to the Pi still limited to 5 watts?

My house was hit by lightning. My OS did not survive so I have to rebuild and want to use the Pi 3B+ that I have, do I still need a external power supply?

Transformer is dead, OpenSprinkler board demolished, pi is dead and so is the sd card!

i think it is limited to 500mA, so 2.5 watts…

i got my main board, so let it be known my expansion board is also dead… so anyone with a lightning strike, the whole system needs to be replaced. trash it all…
