Just bought and received my OpenSprinkler Pi 1.4 I have downloaded the image from the web site in there http://www.raysfiles.com/ospi/ospi2.img.zip

It boots! It runs. I was able to schedule & start my stations.

I have update the software using git pull

    I am running Software version: 2.2.42 (2015-05-06)

However, my problems: I have no log into the web interface. Not sure where are the logs in the OSPI folder. I have a file called log.json @ 0bytes in ~/OSPi/data/

Thanks in advance for your help.

When using the Python OSPi program be sure logging is turned on. This can be done by going to the options page and under logging make sure “enable logging” is checked.

Yes I have seen that already. Under the option tab => Logging => Enable logging is checked…. I have uncheked it submit. Check it back again and submit. Launch some stations. No log at all…..

Could be a right problems on the log file?

Where is the daemon log logging? /var/log/messages? I don’t see anything there nor special files.

I recommened you try our Unified firmware which is the offical firmware for the device. The preconfigured SD card has not been updated in a while which is why it is not on the SD card yet.

More information regarding how to change over is available here: https://opensprinkler.com/forums/topic/announcing-opensprinkler-unified-firmware-2-1-4/

Try that out instead and see if everything works.

Update: As a quick instruction to get up and running: just use a new Raspbian SD image burnt to a card and install by following these steps:

    1) git clone https://github.com/opensprinkler/opensprinklergen2
    2) cd opensprinklergen2
    3) ./build.sh ospi
