Max distance beteen OS (AC) and expantion module

Hi.
What is the max distance I can have between the OS (AC) and the expantion module?
I have installed an OS (a year ago) in my house and now I want to install an expantion module for new zones I will create. The issue is that running the 10+ zones into the house is a not easy… It would be easier to run the expantion module cable outside.

How long do you need it to be? The cable that comes with the expander is only 12 inches long, so most likely you need to make a custom cable, and I’ve seen several users using a Ethernet (RJ45) cable to make a long extension cable, which has exactly 8 wires. You can probably run a fairly long distance that way, but if you tell me how long you need it to be, I can tell better.

Hi Ray,
I would say a good 20mts? that is just outside the house (the OS is inside), now if I could go up to lets say 45 yo 50mts that would solve all my problems. I can go with e better cable for the 24v if needed.
