    Hi, we have just released firmware 2.1.2 for the microcontroller (not Pi) based OpenSprinkler. This release is for bug fixing only, no new features have been introduced. It fixes the following two issues in firmware 2.1.1 and 2.1.0:

    – Program data output is incomplete when you have 3, 6, 9 (any multiple of 3) programs, which in turn leads to the web interface not responding. The issue seems to exist on OpenSprinkler hardware 2.1 and 2.2, but not on 2.0. It’s likely due to a compiler bug.
    – Incorrect handling of the SPACE character (if any) in the program name.

    If you have upgraded firmware before, just launch the firmware update program, click on Download Firmware to grab the latest firmware, and then follow the instructions to upgrade. If you have never upgraded firmware before, the instructions are here;

    Thanks.

    Hi Ray,
    Is it possible to have a “sticky” topic in the forum with a subject along the lines of “OpenSprinkler Firmware release” (possibly separate for OSPi, Beagle etc) so that we could subscribe to the topic and new releases are announced in it, probably restricting replies to admins only???
    I found out about the new 2.1.2 release when I logged onto the web interface of my OS, which was great to see there, but I because my OS runs so well I don’t need to login to it all that often but I’d get the subscribed topic notice when a new release notice is posted.
