    Hello.

I am currently working on this.

My plan is to use a local weather station, that actually measures temp, humidity and radiation. Here is a picture:

Inside the Stevenson screen there is an arduino that transmit data to my rPi via a rfm12b module. (rfm2pi)

The data is archieved by emoncms in a mysql database, so it is accesible and could be used for this purpose

Tomorrow I will post all the info in my blog ( http://unpuntilloalambre.blogspot.com )

PS. Yes, I would write it in english 😉

Edit: Here is the blog post:

Yes, I suppose you could do something like that, but there are more advantages in concurrent mode, for example not use always the same valves in the line (sometimes run 1+2 other times 1+3,…)

In fact, this option came back in last firmware because many people asked when it was disabled in 1.8.2

    Hi.

I made my opensprinkler also on a Mega 2560. I have a post here: http://unpuntilloalambre.blogspot.com.es/2013/01/opensprinkler.html (sorry it’s in spanish). It is not actualized, but I added a 8 relay board from ebay.

Usually I take the code from firmware 1.x and it works perfectly, but I am not able to upgrade to 1.8.3, even when I flash the new code the displayed firmware is always is 1.8.2 . Any idea?

    Hi.

It would be possible to run the zones in concurrent mode?. When I was testing it I noticed that only one valve can be on at once.

Thank you and congratullations for your work!!

just asking because I don´t have much idea about it:

It is possible to wire-connect opensprinkler to the raspberrypi?. I know how to share the connection with windows, but no idea about how to do it with linux.

The configuration would be: A raspberry pi with wifi adapter and then opensprinkler wired to the pi via ethernet cable.

Hello, I just started with my mega and it looks to work.

The only thing I made was to connect this pins in mega:

    50: MISO
    51: MOSI
    52: SCK
    53: CS

here you can see the mesh:
