Thanks for the thorough details Ray – I knew I could connected (I did last summer customizing Dan’s script), it was the pin I didn’t know where to find in the source (and didn’t realize it was in the manual, should have looked there first.) The circuit information is very helpful, I put it straight in last year. I’ll get it wired up correctly this year.
I have a 1.1 (maybe 1.2/1.0) version of the OpenSprinkler Pi board – it doesn’t have the rain sensor header on it. With this new unified interface, what pins on the Pi should I be putting the rain sensor wires on? Is this even still possible? Thanks, rcb

It should work in the simulator, it’ll just grab the right one I believe.

Disabling web security, while not recommended for most apps, shouldn’t stop you from being accepted into BlackBerry World. It can be dangerous in the wrong hands, which is why the warning. Let me know if you have trouble with this after you submit.
Why do you need to get the wifi ip? It is trivial to expose the Native functions to WebWorks as an extension if you need it though.
I am excited to try this out, I appreciate you putting the effort into getting it working.
