Thank you for the reply.

I did find my problem and got successfully updated. Seems I did not turn the device off/ disconnect the power before connecting the usb….. Once I figured that out, it worked correctly. amazing;-)

The mac solution may not be so simple. Searching the web came up with a bit that one would need to change user privileges together a non certified program to run. I haven’t sorted it all out so I jay be misspeaking there

I found the fix for my scheduling problem. I was in manual mode. Once I switched out of manual mode it works fine.
