I’m controlling my outdoor lighting with OpenSprinkler and a relay. A couple months ago, I noticed that my lighting was not on at dusk but should have been on. When I checked my OpenSprinkler, the time was incorrect. I rebooted it and it got the correct time. The next day, I noticed that the lighting was on at 10 AM. Checked OpenSprinkler and the time was off by several hours and several minutes.
I changed the NTP IP to a different NTP IP and the time updated properly. Forgot about it until today when I noticed the lights were on at 11 AM again. I forgot to check until it was dark out and I noticed the lights were not on again. It was 8:02 PM ET but open sprinkler was showing 9:23 AM ET. I pointed it to my Windows Domain controller and the time updated to 11:31 AM ET…WHAT? Rebooted and the time was correct again.
Anyone else having this issue?
EDIT: It’s only been about an 14 minutes since I last rebooted it and the time is already 7 seconds slow from my NTP Server.
