Just wondering if there is a way to be notified of faulty solenoids.

The issue I had was that I don’t monitor the system often and this past month(summer here) parts of my garden needed to go on life support. After some detective work I had established that I had 2 faulty solenoids. Even though the zone was activating the solenoid was opening.

Is there a way to create an alert when a zone is opened, but, there is no current being drawn?

Yes, this should be possible. I’ve put it on todo list. I think someone also asked about another feature that (when flow meter is used) detects if a zone is turned on but there is no flow reading. This is in a way similar to alert if there is no current reading (or if the current reading is excessively high) when a zone is turned on.

Thanks Ray. It may save my garden in future 🙂
