All of a sudden, my app won’t connect with opensprinkler. It just time’s out and goes to the change settings screen. I am running 2.1.3 software on 2.1 hardware. I’ve done the usual power cycle, doesn’t help.
Is this possibly because I haven’t upgraded to the 2.1.4 software yet? I know I’ve received some updates for the app. Did they break legacy?
Can someone help? Where do I even begin to troubleshoot? It was working fine 2 days ago.
First, no the app didn’t break support with previous firmware versions. To double check, I loaded 2.1.3 and tested, no issues.
To troubleshoot, does the IP on the OpenSprinkler (press B1) match the IP in the app? If not, maybe you have DHCP and the IP changed. If this is the case, you should setup static DHCP reservation in your router to prevent this.
Otherwise, try opening the IP in a browser see if the UI loads that way and let us know.
Having the same issue – I can login from a wired PC and wireless Mac, no issues, but I’ve only been able to get the app on iOS to connect once or twice with a lot of fiddling, and even then it won’t respond to commands (Network Error, relaunch the app, won’t connect).

strange. I thought I tried that yesterday and I couldn’t connect through the app. This morning it all works fine again.
