I live on an elevated site, that can be subject to extreme winds (>80km/h) at times, and often for days at a time.

I would like to be able to delay watering if wind >15km/h, based on my WU key from my Ambient Weather station on the roof. The reason is not so much about efficient water usage, but our hard water (>140ppm calcium) absolutely ruins the house.

    Is this possible?

The firmware currently does not implement a mechanism to ‘delay’ or ‘postpone’ watering, so this won’t be supported at the moment. However, I do see an increasing need to add support to ‘postpone’ watering (there is another thread about this) so we will put this to the todo list.

Thanks Ray, good to know it’s in the picture.

Even if it was much simpler logic, that would still be fine.

If wind > X, false (no water)
If wind < X, true (water)

And then just carry on with the existing schedule afterwards.

I could implement something on the hardware side of things, but would seem a shame as we have the data already there.
