    Hi all,

I am Fabien, French user of your OpenSprinkler system purchased in 2017.

Today I am looking to access my opensprinkler remotely, but with secure access.

If I’m not mistaken, if I connect remotely using only port forwarding, access is via the http protocol and therefore the password circulates in the clear.

I searched on your forum, but I see that it is not possible to use https because the Wi-Fi chip is not powerful enough.

How can I simply secure my access without passing on my information in clear?

I just have a few notions of networks.

    Thank you all.

Do you have an OpenSprinkler 3.x? (i.e. 3.0 3.1 or 3.2)? If so, you can upgrade your firmware to 2.2.0(2) and use OTC token. It goes through the secure server https://cloud.openthings.io for remote access.

    Yes I have a 3.0.

With this method, authentication and use of the application will be secure?
    Great.
I’ve already configured this token, but I didn’t think it was enough.
    Thanks a lot.
I’m going to order a second programmer for my parents 🙂

Thanks. I deleted the image attachment in your post because it contained order number which I think should be hidden from public forum. Thanks for your understanding.
