If I understood this correct, I should connect one wire to for example Zone 1 and the other wire to any of the 2 “com-com” connectors?
If that is true, does it matter which wire from the Solenoid that I connect to Zone1 and “com-com” or does this not matter?
If your valve does not have polarity (this is the case with AC valves), it doesn’t matter which goes to which. If you valve has polarity (i.e. there is a positive wire and negative wire), then positive should go to COM, negative goes to zone 1.
