Woke up to a completely unresponsive unit. (An old,10+ year-old unit.)

I’d like to test the power supply before replacing the entire unit, but I obviously don’t have a second OpenSprinkler with which to do so. Is it possible to do this somehow?

Use a multimeter, measure the AC voltage on the two wires of the power supply.

    It should be DC, right?

Also, do I need to disconnect the power supply from the controller before I measure the voltage?

EDIT: Never mind the first question. I see now that the output of the existing power supply is 24VAC.

Welp … assuming that I’m using my old multimeter correctly, the power supply does indeed appear to be dead. I’ve ordered one of these.

To close the loop, the new power supply did resurrect my controller.
