Hi there,
I’d like to control a borehole pump from an OpenSprinkler. As I have 20 stations, I’ll need to add additional relays to power the solenoids. How do I connect the multiple relays to the zone extender and OpenSprinkler?
Thanks,
Charl
Sorry: I made mistake: I have one pump and one gwo relays. I do not have a relay per pump, and I have one pumps. I also have an zone expander. I want to drive stations from both the OpenSprinkler and the expander boards.
Ahh..I think now I get it: I should program a zone dedicated to the pump start relay, and activate that zone together wither other zone(s) solanoids are wired to, correct? And limit the load per station output but limiting the number of solenoids I connect to each station output on the OpenSprinkler? I’d be inteseted in using a combined master/pump output the OpenSprinkler can activate; how should I wire that?
Thanks,
Charl
A pump (aka master zone) can automatically turn on when an associated zone turns on. By default, when you enable master 1, all zones are associated with master 1. Therefore if any zone turns on, they automatically turn on the master 1 simultaneously. OpenSprinkler supports a independent second master (master 2) as well — for that, zones by default are NOT associated with it, but you can turn that flag on manually.
