Is anyone using Daylight Savings time in their location and also have NTP enabled with OS?

The reason I ask is that I was wondering if OS will automatically change the time when it comes to the DST change?

NTP will always supply UCT time and doesn’t know about DST, it’s up to the receiving station, OS in this case, to calculate the timezone offset and implement DST where applicable. Do you lose or gain 1H when DST changes or do you have to manually change your TZ setting in OS?

Currently, you have to manually change it otherwise you won’t switch.

However, this is being rectified in firmware 2.1.0 when provided the location, the controller will figure out the timezone and auto-apply DST when needed.

A quick update: the just released firmware 2.1.0 (beta) now supports automatic time zone and DST detection (based on the location that you set in the options). Please see the announcement here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=926
