OpenSprinkler 2.1.6 Password / RESET

Good evening everbody,
I forgot the password and thought a full reset iaw manual instructions (B1 button pressed before power-up) would reset the complete device – unfortunately nothing is changing.

Is there any way (except re-programming the controller) to reset?

The reset procedure is as follows:
– Power off OpenSprinkler. Press and hold push-button B1 and power the device back on. Keep holding B1 until the LCD displays ‘Reset?’
– Click B1 to select ‘Yes’.
– Press and hold push-button B3 until the device reboots and finishes resetting.

If you followed the steps above, the LCD screen should show ‘RESETTING EEPROM’ and it takes about 15 to 30 seconds to complete.
