I want to use my opensprinkler DC 3.0 to power an external device. The device specifies 9-30VDC for its power, so I think it should work to wire the device up to the opensprinkler COM and one of the available Zone ports.

However, I can’t seam to find documentation of the DC polarity of the ports. Is COM + or – ?

I found a picture of the ports for the v1.0 on the net, but it clearly stated it was only for v1.0, so I don’t trust it to be the same for v3.0.

The device I’m powering does care about polarity, so I won’t “just try it” 🙂

OpenSprinkler DC uses common anode (positive). So the COM (common) wire is +.
