So I’ve been using OpenSprinkler for several years now and have v2.1u DIY kit that I assembled. Recently we’ve had some power outages and I’m thinking this led to the OpenSprinkler stopped working. I finally noticed that the grass was not getting watered and took a look at the OpenSprinkler. No LCD display on. Transformer appears warm still. Measure it and it’s still going strong at 27V. I take the unit out and open it up. Still able to get correct voltage at mounting hole. Measure continuity on fuse and it appears to be blown. Can someone point me to a replacement part? Not sure I want to run a wire to bypass the fuse.
Can you post a picture of the fuse? v2.1 has been a while ago and I don’t particularly remember which type of fuse it uses.
In addition to replacing the fuse, I recommend you to remove power and measure resistance between VIN (i.e. 5V) to GND and also VCC to GND. VIN-GND should be at least 4 kilo ohm or above, VCC-GND should be at least 1 kilo ohm or above. If they look suspiciously low, some parts may have shorted and need to be replaced.
Are you referring to the test points for GND VIN and VCC right below the OpenSprinkler silk screen? If so, VIN is 4.37kΩ and VCC varies wildly but is above the number you seek.
edit: excuse the duplicate upload of fuse picture.
