Recently installed opensprinkler and works great at home on my wifi network but when I leave my home I cannot connect to opensprinkler at all until I get back home. Don’t know what the issue is. Can anybody help out please on trying to help fix this issue?
Unless you set up accessing OS from the web you can only access it when on your local network, as you have found out. That’s how mine is still set up. There are security issues you need to be aware of if you put it on the web. I believe there are some documents on how to do this but it is a general network issue not something to do with opensprinkler.
Remote access (i.e. accessing the controller from outside of your home network) requires settings up port forwarding:
