Hi, I have a large garden and the second area that I need to add to my setup is about 200ft way and getting wires from my current zone expander to where the valves are is very complicated.
Is there a way to connect a secondo expander via WiFi or connect the values to a WiFi devices that can interact with OpenSprinkler?
That’s what the ‘Remote Station’ feature is for: use one OpenSprinkler as a master controller, and another one as remote controller. Just one expander cannot be a remote controller, because the expander is a passive device that does not have a microcontroller in it. But you can buy another main controller and use that as a remote controller.
I have a similar question. I want to control valves in an area enclosed by a paved circular driveway. I will refer to it as the island. The island has a water line and a 110 power source. It has no irrigation control wires run to it. I don’t want to dig a trench in the paved driveway. I do have a usable wifi signal in the island area. Is there a wireless valve that I can control to add two or three valves in the island area? With water, power, and wifi I am hoping I can get around the cable shortfall.
