I’m replacing an old sprinkler controller that has a perfectly good 24VAC transformer, but it’s got 3 wires (2 yellow, 1 green) rather than a connector on the 24VAC side. I assume I want to connect the two yellow wires to the opensprinkler, but I don’t know what sort of connector I should be using. Anyone know? Also, the green wire is a ground, but I don’t see anywhere to connect it to the opensprinkler; is there something I’m missing?

Thank for any ideas or pointers.

opensprinkler dont have a ground, if you want you could attach it to one of the screws holding the circuit board to the case or wire it to RJ45 surge supressor like I did.

I like the surge suppressor idea, I’ll give that a shot.

And I just found all of the connectors tucked away in the box (d’oh!), so I’m all set with the power connections.
