    Hi.

Since using the opensprinkler it has been great. My watering is generally done from rainwater tanks. I was thinking of having a feature where I can place a float switch just before the overflow level of the tank, which could be used to trigger a specific watering cycle (not a usual timed cycle) on the areas of my garden that are under heavy tree cover (where rain takes alot longer to break through the tree canopy). That way waste water that would otherwise overflow from the tank, and be discharged into the waste stormwater system could be better used to deep water the dryer areas on the garden.

If it’s possible to add this feature in the future it would be great. I hope it is something that would be benefit to all…..maybe a similar input could be used with a simple external thermostat, where an extra watering cycle was triggered if ambient temp increased above the setpoint of the (normally open) thermostat? Just a thought..

    Thanks,

    Bruce

I second that request. Perhaps also add a remote command to ‘Enable/Stop Operation’ via HTTP or whatever future integration options will be available.

All commands are implemented with HTTP GET command, including Enable/Disable Operation. For example:
    http://x.x.x.x/cv?pw=opendoor&en=0
will disable the controller. For details, please check this section of the user manual:

Oops… I missed the commands in the PDF file. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
