wyoneParticipantOK, so after my fiasco with damaging my original opensprinkler I replaced it today. I decided I should go all out and put in a rain sensor as well. It is an Orbit that has NC contacts that open on rain.
I selected rain sensor on the device settings. everything seems perfect. I wet the sensor, and in the Web app on my laptop I get a red status that says Rain Detected. It however does not seem to shut off the program. But maybe that is because I am trying to do a run once and then a manual program and both of those override the rain settings???
Also on the android app on my Samsung Galaxy 4 I never get the same status bar that shows Rain. Not sure if this is normal or maybe I have a setting incorrect?
Also, thanks for the FAST service to get me a replacement and all the help. Also thanks for the idea to BACKUP my programs. I Did that BEFORE the issue I had with my original control and when I put in my replacement it was merely a matter of importing the programs. That is AWESOME.
Thanks again for all your hard work! Still the BEST product of it’s type on the market!

RayKeymasterRain delay and sensing is ignored when you perform a run-once program or when the controller is in manual mode — it’s only effective with a regular program. If you want to quickly test if it’s working, just create a test program that starts in a minute or two, and then watch if rain sensor affects the program run or not.

wyoneParticipantand the rain sensor works perfectly.. as I expected. I have a program to run at 4 AM on Saturdays, and we had a good rain storm last night, and low and behold, when I look at status, the last run was when I was attempting to test the sensor the evening I installed it.
Thanks again!

dnnnMemberSame here. The native app doesn’t seem to have the rain detected status. Salbahra, do you have any plan of adding this feature to the app?
Thanks,

SamerKeymasterIt actually does and based on what @wyone is saying it showed up. Is it not working for you? Also, does it show correctly in the firmware?
Thanks

wyoneParticipantOn my laptop, using your software.. it shows up as rain sensed. On my Samsung phone, it does not show that. Maybe I have a setting different? If I manually set a rain delay, it shows up on both the laptop and phone. hmmmm

SamerKeymasterAh okay. I misunderstood your previous comment. This is likely a bug and will be checked out soon. Thanks!

SamerKeymasterI found this bug and just pushed a fix. I apologize it took so long to get to this one.
Should see the update within the week on the various app stores.
Thanks!
