How is the Raspberry Pi powered from the OpenSprinkler? Am I reading the schematic right that it is powered by 5v from OpenSprinkler to the 5v GPIO header?

I’ve read it is inadvisable to power the rPi from the 5v GPIO header because it bypasses the F3 polyfuse. Are there any measures to keep voltage from not going over 5v and burning out the rPi over the GPIO header?

OpenSprinkler Pi’s 5V line has an on-board 1A PTC fuse followed by a 5.6V zener diode.
