This is to announce that we’ve released a minor revision (no. 2) to firmware 2.1.5. This minor revision includes the following changes:
– Fixed the DNS caching issue, which was causing the firmware to stop receiving weather queries when the IP of weather.opensprinkler.com changes.
– Improved RF signal timing for OpenSprinkler (this is relevant when using the RF station feature).
– Enabled 1-second staggering of parallel stations. If multiple stations are scheduled to start at the same time, this will separate their start times by 1 second apart. It is introduced to avoid issues with simultaneously opening multiple valves on OpenSprinkler DC controller (due to the boost converter capacity), as well as multiple remote stations simultaneously (upcoming feature).
Once upgraded, the ‘About’ page will show firmware version 2.1.5 (2). If you are upgrading from 2.1.5 or 2.1.5 (1), the main firmware number remains the same, hence the controller and program settings will be preserved. If you are upgrading from a previous firmware version (e.g. 2.1.4), keep in mind that the upgrade will reset the controller and program settings, so make sure to back up your configurations before upgrading.
