I see that auto reconnect under options; advanced is gone.  Will this be an issue?

I also see that sequential under options; advanced has moved to edit stations and sequential is an option for each station.  By default all are enabled as sequential.  But i think i may have run into a problem.  I’ve attached images my preview program for the 2.1.0 and 2.1.2 for the same program i have configured.  the 2.10 shows them all running sequentially,   all waiting for the previous to finish automatically.   But the 2.1.2 has some of the showing in the preview as running at the same time, not waiting until the previous is finished.   The sequential option is on for all stations if i look under edit stations.

If these stations do try to open simultaneously I’ve got a problem, i don’t have the water flow to manage it.

I do have the overlapping stations set to start a different times, because i somewhat want to set the order they run in.  This was a similar issue with a previous version where if stations were not all started at the same time, the ones starting while others were running were ignored.   The 2.1.0 version solved this.  Now it seems the 2.1.2 version creates a new problem.   Different  programs that all start at the same time do line up in order, however if another program is scheduled to start while they are running at a different time the preview shows it will just start at its scheduled time rather than waiting for the other running stations to finish, despite the fact that all stations are set to sequential.

    Thanks,
    Gary

Attached is an image of the current status and program preview of the controller running.

According to current status, it appears the zones are correctly lining up and not starting simultaneously.

However the program preview is not displaying this correctly.

OK, this is likely a bug in the preview script. We will try to fix as soon as possible. Thanks for reporting it.

How long do you think it will take to fix this issue?

Does this kind of change require a firmware update or can it be done in the UI software?

I’m using a 2.1 OS with 4 boards (3 extra, actually using a 16 and and 8 in addition to the unit).

I’m attaching the program backup to perhaps help take less time to produce the error.

No it doesn’t require firmware update — it’s a bug in the preview scripts on the server. We’ve already worked out the fix and it should be released very soon. Samer can probably give you a better idea of exactly when.

Just to summarize this thread and the relevant thread from the support ticket: the issue is caused by the preview scripts not properly handling programs that repeat too frequently. Here ‘too frequently’ means the program is set to repeat at an interval that’s less than the time it takes to finish the program. For example, if a program takes 30 minutes to finish watering all stations, the interval to repeat this program should be more than 30 minutes. If the interval is less than 30 minutes, it’s trying to reschedule the program before it can finish the first pass. In this case the firmware can handle it correctly (i.e. meeting the sequential requirement); but the preview scripts are not completely consistent with the the firmware, and show stations running in parallel.

In any case, the preview issue is fixed and will be updated soon. We will also soon add a checking of the program interval setting to throw out a warning if the interval is set too short.

I just updated to 2.1.2 and was bitten by this. I had exported my config (including programs) under old firmware, and imported back in under new firmware. My programs are now “broken” in the preview. Are there still plans to fix this bug in the preview scripts? [I do see the warning about repeat time being too short, but I do deliberately desire to program it this way, so that the ‘repeat’ gets queued and runs immediately, with no gap after the first time through]

The original bug reported in this thread has been fixed. Perhaps you can post your export so that we can check your program data and see what went wrong with the preview.

A quick update on this thread: the current preview script has a bug that only shows the first runtime of a station and ignore additional run times of the same station. The fix has been implemented and we will release a new version of the UI as soon as possible. Thanks, and sorry aobut the issue.

I did the initial post to this thread, i see some of the issues of sequential previews being viewed as simultaneous was resolved.

I just upgraded to 2.1.3 and have a new issue.

The same programs shows the first item in the preview repeating even though it is not set to repeat.

Note the first zone to run at midnight is the “goat rotor” in the “goat zone” program.  It appears in the preview running again after the next zone in the same program.   But it is not set to repeat.

I’ve attached a picture of the preview as well and below is the json:
