    I wish to purchase OpenSprinkler RPI3 hardware but I’m just not sure exactly what I need. I currently have a RPI3 and will be using the WIFI connection on that board for network connectivity. Also, I have a 24 VAC power supply from my current irrigation system that I can possibly use with the RPI3 system. My lawn consists of 32 irrigation zones.

    Thus, a list of RPI OpenSprinkler required hardware would be greatly appreciated.

    What you need is a main controller (8 zones) plus two expansion boards (each adding 16 zones). So in total this can control 40 zones.
