    Glad I found this post.. I did not see the instructions about what to and what not to replace in the data directory on github. github documentation should be updated..

    also note the post viewtopic.php?f=28&t=207 and the info about using the & at the end of the command to invoke ospi.py in the rc.local. it is very important and there is also a good tip about running it on 0.0.0.0:

    This is great. I never thought of 0.0.0.0.. that works better and starts up every time.

    Any reason nobody is suggesting adding a “&” after they start the python script in RC?local?

    I start it like this…

    /usr/bin/python ospi.py $host$port &

    That way it is sent to the background and rc.local gets to actually terminate. This is key since I also have a script that checks my wireless connection every five minutes to make sure it is up. I run that from rc.local also with a & ..
